Hello! I’m Suzi

I’m a former homesteader—three times over! I grew up on a homestead in south Florida on the edge of the Everglades. Then my husband and I with our five kids moved to a homestead in the mountains in northern New Mexico. Then we next lived in Texas on three acres where we were focused on horses. Now I live with my husband in Grand Junction, Colorado, near my youngest son and his family. And soon, we will be purchasing land for our future homestead here! So what are we doing in the meantime? Getting ready… and living the homesteading heart-style right here in our little blue house.

homesteading is a lifestyle

The Country Heart

No matter where you live, whether in a city apartment or on acres of land, homesteading is a matter of the heart, not location. When you want to live simply, eat healthy food, and you’d rather make it than buy it, you may have a country heart.
